Dish divider

The divider for flowable bulk materials with a moisture content of up to 15%

The disc divider has been developed for the representative distribution of flowable bulk material, which is dosed to the device – e. g. via a dosing belt conveyor downstream of sampling. The fully encapsulated sample divider essentially consists of drive unit, sample feeding hopper, divider disc and vibrating tank.

Due to its simple and solid construction, the divider is extremely reliable and low-maintenance. The construction of this divider makes it possible to divide even bulk solids with an adhesive moisture content of up to 15%. Due to a wear-resistant coating of the dividing disc and slitting knife, long service lives can be achieved even with abrasive materials.

The material in the sample feeding hopper is pushed out of the hopper sideways by the rotating divider disc. The material strand now lying on the disc follows the movement of the disc, but is transported by gravity into the throwing funnel as soon as the disc moves upwards. Below the disc is a vibrating tub with an integrated sample discharge funnel. Partition slots are incorporated into the divider disc, the number and width of which depend on the division ratio of the divider.

If there is a slot below the sample feeding funnel, material from the sample feeding funnel is fed through the slot of the disc into the sample discharge funnel. In this way, individual subsets are created, which are ejected from the divider by the sample outlet funnel. At the end of the splitting operation, the divided quantity of the discarded material is available for further processing or for laboratory analysis.
