Automatic sampler for heterogeneous bulk materials

If the bulk material to be sampled is heterogeneous, such as recycled material, the usage of a slotted sampling chamber isn’t recommended due to possible clogging. Our solution: the drawer sampler. The installation of the sampler does not restrict or affect the function or operation of the existing conveyor systems in any way.

The drawer sampler is characterized by a compact design and by a simple and reliable technology. The drawer sampler is placed at the head of the conveyor. It operates with a drawer-shaped sampling vessel, which is shifted into the flow of the belt conveyor to take a sample.

With a complex, curved motion, the sampling vessel is inverted over a funnel and thus completely emptied. Depending on customer requirements, the hopper is connected to a downpipe and a sample collection vessel or further processing steps for sample preparation.
