Pendulum slide divider
The divider for several simultaneous samples
The pendulum slide divider is installed in the conveyor belt of a dosing conveyor and enables representative division of bulk materials with the aid of a pendulum slide. The design of this divider allows the creation of several, simultaneous aggregate samples.
In the basic position, the pendulum slide is swung sideways. The outlet opening of the slide is located completely above the lateral throwing shaft, so that the material deposited on the pendulum slide is directed into the throwing. If a start command is given, half a pendulum motion is executed. If the pendulum slide reaches the other pivoted end position, the drive goes out of service again.
When passing through the middle shaft (sample outlet shaft), a subset of the sample material fed continuously and evenly by the dosing belt conveyor is discharged and further processed as a subsample of an incremental sample.
The division ratio of the sample divider is influenced by the throughput speed or residence times over the throwing shafts. Depending on the task, the sample material discharged through the middle shaft is fed into a sample collection vessel or further processed.
The discard material resulting from the splitting of the sample shall be fed to the main material stream.
Advantages
- Low maintenance
- Use in ATEX zone possible
- Variable division ratio
- Low height
- Design with several sub-stages possible
- Design for the production of several, simultaneous aggregate samples (e. g. for back-up samples)
