The divider for wet and sticky bulk materials
The rotary divider has been developed for the representative distribution of wet and sticky bulk material, which is fed to the device in a dosed manner. The rotary divider can be designed as a one- or two-stage version.
The rotary divider has a rotating dosing belt conveyor that operates according to the circular cut-out dividing principle. As a two-stage version, the rotary divider works with two rotating dosing belt conveyors arranged on top of each other. The function of the two-stage divider is discussed below.
The material penetrating the sample divider is picked up by the rotating dosing belt conveyor and dispensed over the circular surface described by the rotating conveyor. Into this circular surface is a circular segmented partial sample discharge shaft, which absorbs the amount of material generated in this area. The remaining material falls into a separate shaft within the divider housing as discard material.
The sample material penetrated into the partial sample discharge shaft slides onto another rotating dosing belt conveyor, which operates and is designed in the same way as described above. The partial sample discharge shaft extending into this second circular surface is adjustable in its opening width so that the partial ratio can be changed.
In order to achieve the required representativeness of the sample, the dosing belt conveyors perform at least five to seven revolutions – the partial shafts are thus traversed five to seven times – before a partial sample is created from an individual sample.
The fraction ratio depends on the grain size of the sample material to be divided. The two ratios are designed according to the task.
In order to check the representativeness of the two sub-stages, the sub-stages of the divider have two separate discharge shafts for the resulting excess material. In this way, the incremental sample and the surplus can be collected and checked separately.
