Samplers for conveyor systems

When deciding which kind of sampler is appropriate for sampling bulk materials on belt conveyors, the characteristics of the bulk material to be sampled and the installation situation are key.

If the bulk material you want to sample is not mentioned below or if you require individual advice and design due to specific installation conditions on site, you are welcome to contact us.

  • Drawer sampler

If the bulk material to be sampled is a heterogeneous material which cannot be sampled by means of a sample chamber with a slotted opening due to possible blockages, the use of a drawer sampler is recommended.

  • Linearsampler

Different samplers can be used for the automatic, representative sampling of bulk solids on conveyor belts. If the space conditions on site allow sampling of the material in the conveyor belt, it is recommended to install a linear sampler.

  • Rotary Arm Sampler

If the installation situation does not allow the installation of a conventional linear sampler, the rotary arm sampler is an alternative. The rotary arm sampler takes the primary sample at the belt transfer by traversing the free falling material flow on a circular arc.

  • Cross-Belt Sampler

If, for reasons of space, sampling systems cannot be installed in the discharge parabola of a belt conveyor, but representative cross-sectional samples are required, it is recommended to install an impact arm sampler.
