Screw sampler with multi-chamber system

The screw sampler is designed for applications where dry, flowable and fine-grained materials are conveyed from top to bottom by pressureless pipelines or by pipelines with low overpressure. Due to the multi-chamber system used, pipelines in which a standing column of material is located can also be sampled. Old material is discarded from the screw in order not to contaminate the new sample.

With the start of sampling, the screw drive starts to operate in the reverse direction. Material contained in the sampling auger is transported towards the discharge chamber to be ejected from the auger.

After emptying, the screw moves forward into the material to be sampled. The material penetrating through the sample inlet opening into the casing tube of the conveyor screw is transported towards the sample outlet. The material discharged from the sampling auger falls into the downstream sample collection vessel.
