Voluntary work at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Aachen: We take on responsibility
Employees of the Roskopf Group of Companies volunteer at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Aachen (IHK Aachen). While our managing director Meike Jungbluth is a member of the IHK plenary assembly in Aachen as well as the industry and foreign trade committees, other employees participate as lecturers or members of examination committees. Meike Jungbluth is also an ambassador for the Business Women IHK network, an initiative of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry e.V.
DigitalHUB Aachen e.V.
Since November 2021, we have been a member of digitalHUB Aachen e.V., the digitalization centre for the Aachen region. The digitalHUB Aachen e.V. brings together industrial enterprises and SMEs with start-ups and IT SMEs and thus actively supports the digitalisation of companies.
TIAF-AC e.V. – Aachen region
Since July 2021, we have been a member of TIAF-AC e.V., a network of skilled workers for the Aachen region.
The aim of TIAF-AC e.V. is to enable trainees and retrainees to receive qualified training or retraining. We at TIAF-A.C. e.V. would also like to be the contact for skilled workers who are looking for high-quality further education and training. In this way, we attract the skilled workers of today and tomorrow to our association and find the right job for the skilled workers in the TIAF-AC member companies. TIAF-AC e.V. means securing skilled workers for the Aachen region.
Ladies in Black Aachen
Since October 2020, the Roskopf Group has been a proud business sponsor of Ladies in Black Aachen, the successful 1st division volleyball team from Aachen. Team spirit and diversity connect the Ladies in Black with our group of companies. We look forward to exciting games in the so called "witches' cauldron" where all the home games take place and a successful partnership next season.
FASD speialist centre
FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) is hardly known and yet so widespread in our society. For several years, we have been supporting the FASD specialist centre in cologne, to raise awareness of this disability caused by alcohol consumption during pregnancy. In 2018, for example, with our support, a film series about young people with FASD was produced, which is used as an educational medium for training, education and prevention and can be obtained from the Wuppertal media project. In 2021, we were able to be part of a premiere: young people with FASD came together in September for an online event, were given a voice and were able to exchange ideas.
Mine ReWIR e.V. – Shaping the future together
The lignite phase-out in 2030 poses enormous challenges for the Rhenish coalfield, the home of the Roskopf group of companies. As a founding member of Mine ReWIR the Roskopf Unternehmensgruppe is taking the opportunity to play an active role in shaping an initiative that can provide impetus for the affected service providers and suppliers of the lignite industry to realign their companies and thus prepare them for the structural change.
The association is to contribute to the creation of a long-term innovation network in the region in which new forms of cooperation between research institutes and companies and between companies themselves can be developed and tested. Close networking with other partners, especially in the field of qualification, is also planned so that people and their skills do not lose importance despite structural change - but rather gain new ones.
Aachen Sozial - Society for Social and Civic Engagement in the Region Aachen e. V.
Every year, Aachen Sozial awards the Engagement Award, as well as the Young People Award for outstanding social projects. The association finances its activities mainly through donations as well as contributions from members and sponsors. We are very pleased to be able to sponsor the Young Scientists Promotion Award in 2023.
Social Day Aachen
Impact Konnection supports companies to start and establish their own social sustainability activities. In addition, Impact Konnection is organising the Social Day Aachen. Companies based in Aachen can choose regional social sustainability activities and thus sustainably support their home region. Since 2023, the Roskopf Group has been a campaigner at the Social Day Aachen.
We support the Social Day Aachen because we want sustainable cooperation for companies and social initiatives in the region. Sustainable entrepreneurial commitment is what the Social Day Aachen stands for.
